The Lego Technic isn't an ordinary Lego set. The series has always been known to recreate not only a car's looks, but its running gear as well.
So, the Lego Technic Ford F-150 Raptor stays true that formula. The build-your-own replica has 1,379 parts, which include the moving pistons for the F-150 Raptor's V6 engine, working suspension, and four opening doors.
The Lego Technic F-150 Raptor's hood can be opened to reveal the engine, the tailgate can swing open, and the suspension allows for simulated rock crawling.
With the body coated in Ford's own Code Orange paint, the completed toy truck will measure 16.5 inches long, seven inches wide, and six inches tall.
The Lego Technic F-150 Raptor will be available to order from Lego's website on October 1, 2021, and will cost US$100 (around P4,900).
The toy truck will also prove to be as rugged as the real thing. Lego said that Technic components are "dropped, heated, crushed, twisted, and analyzed to make sure they meet strict global safety standards."
The F-150 Raptor is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5 liter EcoBoost V6 engine, which generates 450hp and 690Nm of torque. The engine is paired to a paddle-shifted 10-speed automatic.
