Toyota has unveiled an updated version of the 2023 Camry in Nightshade Special Edition. For the uninitiated, Toyota’s Nightshade Edition models treat the brand’s US-spec nameplates like the Avalon Hybrid, C-HR, Corolla, Prius, Sequoia, and Tacoma, to a set of blacked-out accessories. The Nightshade Special Edition builds from this bundle to give customers who are looking for a factory designer package, a more compelling option.
At a glance, the 2023 Camry Nightshade Special Edition offers the look and stance of a premium sport sedan. Noticeable is its black front grille with Sport Mesh inserts that were adopted from the Camry TRD model. It also wears a distinct black rear spoiler, black mirror caps, and black exterior badges. In addition, it dons black-trimmed headlights and taillights — for a stronger dose of attitude. Available finishes include Midnight Black, White, and the new Reservoir Blue.
The 2023 Camry Nightshade Special Edition rides on 19-inch matte bronze aluminum alloy wheels.
The appearance package does not change the 2023 Camry’s interior layout. Would-be owners of the 2023 Camry Nightshade Special Edition can expect standard cabin features like soft-touch trims as well as linear dark, wood inlay, or patterned metal motifs, which depends on the model variant the Nightshade Special Edition package is applied on.
