New and Used Kia Carnival for Sale Philippines 2018
The Kia Carnival is built in South Korea and sold as the Sedona in other markets around the world. It was introduced in 1998, with the first generation lasting from that year to 2006. When the Carnival entered its third generation in 2014, it endured a major rework, offering a bevy of improvements such as a better build, updated powertrain, more creature comforts, and a highly flexible seating system that raises the Carnival’s level in the minivan category. Dare it be said, the Carnival now ranks alongside extremely popular Japanese vans in terms of refinement and functionality.
For 2016, Kia decided to exclude the Carnival from their vehicle lineup, thus you won’t find any 2016 Kia Carnival models available in the Philippines. There is, however, the more upscale Kia Grand Carnival 2016 to replace it, which costs almost twice the Carnival’s price. For the more budget-conscious, you can still find carryover 2015 Kia Carnival models sold at authorized Kia dealerships nationwide. You may also check the inventory of used cars for sale dealers if that’s what your budget allows.

Kia Carnival Review in the Philippines
Kia Carnival Specs and Performance
Under the hood, the Carnival sports a 2.9 liter CRDi diesel engine which supplies the vehicle with 182 horsepower and 343 Nm of torque. The Kia Carnival engine can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour (kph) in under 9 seconds and has a top speed of 192 kph.
The Kia Carnival suspension system features a unibody design supported by MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link system at the back. Speed and performance aren’t really a requirement for minivans, and the Carnival does a good job of meeting expectations. The vehicle delivers moderate but smooth power, a calm ride, responsible handling and a quiet cabin that ticks all the right boxes.

Kia Carnival Features
Kia Carnival Convenience and Entertainment Features
It’s safe to say that the Kia Carnival’s smartphone-driven UVO (short for Your Voice) connectivity and navigation features are the wave of the future. The base model comes in a seven-seat configuration and includes basic features such as power windows, locks, and mirrors, cruise control, climate control, tilt/telescoping steering, audio and phone controls on the steering wheels, USB port and keyless entry. A fold-away third-row seat is standard in all models.
But that’s not where the Carnival’s treats end. Whet your appetite for the latest tech with the following standard creature comforts present in the Kia MPV:
Going back to the UVO system, all of its infotainment functions are dependent on your smartphone. As such, the UVO system includes app capability. You can even obtain information on and more via apps like SiriusXM and Travel Link.

Kia Carnival Design
Kia Carnival Interior
The Carnival’s interior does a better job of spicing things up, as the new updates are visually enthralling. There’s the horizontally laid-out panel fitted with glossy piano-black trim and given a two-tone look. New soft-touch materials line the upper portion of the dash and door trim, and there’s a level of sophistication that extends in these areas, owing to some of the features that were first introduced in international releases the Kia Cadenza and K900 sedans. Other noteworthy interior features include:
- Dual sunroof
- 2nd row stand up seats
- Spacious cargo room
- Multiple seat variations
- Pop-up sinking seats
- Infinity sound system
Kia Carnival Exterior
Though the Carnival looks tame enough, it looks pretty handsome. The clean front-end appearance looks somewhat like the more upright version of the familiar Kia grille, characterized by swept-back headlamps and LED running lamps. The profile is unmistakably that of a multi-purpose vehicle, but there’s very little to complain about, because it’s good-looking nevertheless. Here are the highlights of the latest Carnival’s impressive exterior:
- Power sliding doors
- Hands-free smart power tailgate
- 19-inch chrome finish wheels
- Rear spoiler
- LED rear combination lamps
- Roof rails
Kia Carnival Color Options
The last Kia Carnival is available in five fine color options:
- Clear White
- Bright Silver
- Aurora Black
- Deep Blue
- Platinum Graphite
