While Nissan Philippines has always been popular with its range of SUV Cars, the segment of lifestyle pickup trucks was only explored by the Japanese car maker in 2015, when it came up with the all new NP300 Navara. While Nissan has been making the NP300 Navara pickup in other corners of the world, the pickup debuted in the Philippines car market with its third generation version in 2015.

The common mainstay of all the variants of the Nissan NP300 Navara is a 2.5-litre four cylinder diesel engine, however, it is the state of tune which differs in all the variants. The engine is being offered with two transmission options – a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic gearbox. While with the manual gearbox, the engine makes 163 PS of power and 403 Nm of torque, the engine paired with the automatic gearbox delivers 190 PS of power and 450 Nm of torque. The base EL 4x2 and VE 4x4 come standard with the manual gearbox, while the range topping Pro-4X 4x4 and VL 4x2 come paired to only a 7-speed automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the VE 4x2 and VL 4x4 are offered with both gearbox options.
