The Suzuki Carry is a line of mini-pickups used for a variety of business purposes such as delivering products and transporting passengers. The Carry is more popularly known as the in the Philippines. The term “multicab” is a shorter version of “multi-purpose cab”.
The Carry line, which has numerous other configurations including vans and microbuses, is often modified in the country, particularly in Cebu, after being imported as completely knock down (CKD) vehicles. Local assemblers then fit the vehicles with an FB body that gives them that all familiar business-type feel. One of the first pioneers of the “multicab conversion” was Norkis Trading.

Under the hood, the Suzuki Carry is powered by a 0.7 liter EBD-DA16T gasoline engine which produces 76 horsepower and 90 Nm of torque. In highway conditions, this commercial vehicle can reach a top speed of 90 kilometers per hour (kph) and has a 0-100 kph acceleration in roughly 15 to 18 seconds. Under the same driving conditions, the Carry is rated to have a fuel efficiency of 16 to 17 km/L.

The Suzuki Carry has a body-on-frame construction coupled with a MacPherson strut with gas filled shock absorbers for its front suspension and a leaf spring in its rear. It is equipped with just the basic exterior equipment such as a black plastic bumper, rounded bulb type headlamps and 12-inch steel wheels.
Inside the Carry is a modest cabin space, which can accommodate only two people. It also has basic fabric covered seats and its instrument panel features huge central gauges flanked by a small indicator display. Its dashboard also has a central audio system and various storage compartments.

This vehicle has a no frills construction with the interior dashboard lacking even a fan blower. However, one thing that is common on most Suzuki Carry variants is their fuel efficiency and torquey engines despite their lower than one liter displacements. They may not be known for their speed and power, but these vehicles are known for their versatility and durability.
