Sojitz Fuso Philippines Corporation (SFP) is continuously strengthening its relationship with e-commerce platform Shopee Philippines. Aside from delivering Fuso units, it is also equipping Shopee drivers with knowledge on proper handling.
Last August 7 and September 6, the general distributor of Fuso trucks and buses locally conducted training sessions for Shopee’s drivers and operations team that cover Basic Truck Information, Periodic Maintenance Service, Safety Driving Measures, and Efficient Driving.
The training program is meant to provide information on how to properly use and maintain the 10 Fuso FJ 2528R Wing Van trucks delivered to the e-commerce company last July. The said vehicles are the standard delivery vehicles of the company, SFP claimed.
In its statement, SFP shared that the 10-wheeler, 25-ton Fuso FJ 2528R is the country’s first heavy-duty truck to have a natural 32-feet loading span.
The vehicle is powered by a 6S20 diesel engine (that can provide 281hp and 1,120 Nm torque) matched to a nine-speed manual transmission with double synchronizer. Handling the stopping power are the dual circuit full-air brakes and anti-lock braking system (ABS).
“We hope that these programs will help our drivers manage the trucks better and our daily operations run more smoothly,” SPX Philippines, Inc. (Shopee Xpress) Logistics Head Jessie Baylon was quoted as saying.
Further, SFP boasted its “wide network of strategically located outlets and service centers across the Philippines, which offers high-quality trucks and buses and reliable service that cater to all business needs and customer requirements.”
