10 Most Inquired Sedans in Carmudi Philippines in 2018 (Updated)
The Philippine automotive industry is like a battle royale featuring various car manufacturers with their own respective model lineup. Different cars across the range from different brands battle it out in the local market, with the ultimate goal of becoming the best in its class. As such, we sat down and looked into our data to put order into things, starting with the 10 most inquired sedans in Carmudi Philippines last 2018. The result we got isn't that much of a surprise as subcompact sedans dominate the list. However, there are two compact sedans that made the cut. So, arranged in descending order, here are the 10 most inquired sedans in Carmudi Philippines in 2018.
#10 Mazda 2
The Mazda 2 starts off the list of the 10 most inquired sedans in Carmudi Philippines last 2018. The Mazda 2, both the Sedan and the Hatch version, has been in the market for quite some time now, but its exterior and interior design still looks fresh and appealing. The design of this vehicle is a big factor on why it still generates interest among car buyers. Pricing for the Mazda 2 Sedan starts at PHP850,000.
#9 Toyota Corolla Altis
The Toyota Corolla Altis is one of the compact sedans that made it into the list. This car still manages to be one of the most inquired sedans in Carmudi despite having a relatively more expensive price tag as compared to subcompact sedans. One reason for this is that the price of the top-of-the-line subcompact sedan is within the ballpark figure of an entry-level Corolla Altis. To put things in perspective, the top Vios variant is priced at PHP1,095,000 while the base Corolla Altis variant is priced at only PHP961,000.
#8 Honda Brio Amaze
Coming in at 8th spot is the Honda Brio Amaze, which is Honda Cars Philippines' challenger in the subcompact sedan segment. It is powered by a 1.3-liter gasoline engine that delivers 99 hp and 128 Nm of torque. Transmission options are either a five-speed manual or a five-speed automatic, depending on the variant. The Brio Amaze has a starting price of PHP661,000.
#7 Honda Civic
The Honda Civic is the other compact sedan that made the top 10 list. Aside from being a Civic, the price range argument (same with the Toyota Corolla Altis) is one of the reasons why it made the list. Moreover, a huge chunk of Carmudi's website traffic are those in the age bracket of 25 to 34 years old, which could be considered as young car buyers who are searching for sporty-looking vehicles. The Honda Civic has a starting price of PHP1,168,000 while the Civic RS Turbo variant is priced at PHP1,576,000.
#6 Mitsubishi Mirage G4
The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is available in four variants with a starting price of PHP666,000 while the top-of-the-line variant is priced at PHP769,000. The top Mirage G4 variant is powered by a 1.2-liter gasoline engine that produces 77 hp and 100 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
#5 Nissan Almera
The Nissan Almera sits at the middle of the pack. Nissan's subcompact sedan is available in five variants with a starting price of PHP657,000 while the top-of-the-line variant is priced at PHP933,000. The Almera has a spacious interior cabin, which is probably one of the strongest selling points of this subcompact sedan. Under the hood, the top Almera variant is equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine that puts out 98 hp and 134 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a four-speed automatic transmission.
#4 Ford Fiesta

On the other hand, the Fiesta is also available as a hatchback, which can be equipped with a 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine that delivers 123 hp and 170 Nm of torque.

On the other hand, we got more last-minute inquiries for this Korean subcompact sedan when Hyundai Philippines launched the all-new Accent last December 2018. The all-new Accent comes with a restyled exterior design, which now comes with a revamped grille and new taillights.
