Lamborghini is set to debut its first-ever SUV--which it actually labels as a 'super SUV'--in 25 years with the debut of the highly-anticipated Lamborghini Urus on December 4 at its Sant' Agata Bolognese site in northern Italy.
As we count down to the launch date, Lamborghini put together 10 facts about the Urus that it has shared to the public so far.
The Urus is Lamborghini's first SUV since production of the LM002 stopped in 1993.
The Lamborghini Urus was first announced at the Beijing Auto Show in 2012.
The Urus model name comes from an extinct, wild Eurasian ox that was the ancestor of the domestic cattle, thereby breaking the brand's tradition of naming its cars after Spanish words associated with bullfighting.
The Lamborghii Urus's range is set to feature the brand's first ever plug-in hybrid.
The Lamborghii Urus's traction control system has six settings: Road, Sport, Track, Sand, Dust, and Snow.
The Sant' Agata manufacturing facility has been upgraded and features a test track with 13 different surfaces.
The facility upgrade will increase production capacity at the site to 7,000 units a year, which is double its current capacity.
The Lamborghini Urus features 5,000 new parts from 450 suppliers.
Lamborghini believes the Urus could account for half of its sales by 2019.
The price of the Lamborghini Urus is...still unknown and we'll all have to wait until December 4 to find out
