Dubbed as the Lexus marque’s ‘flagship luxury utility vehicle,’ the LX 570 is easily one of the best off-road options that money can buy. For 2021, the model gets even dreamier with the addition of more standard features, an updated LX Sport aftermarket bundle, and a limited Inspiration Series run of 500 units.
Though the new standard features are relatively minor, they help the cabin exude a heightened level of luxury and convenience. 2021 LX 570 owners can now control many of the vehicle’s onboard systems with an Amazon Alexa-powered 12.3-inch infotainment system with remote touch interface. There’s also a new Nori Green paint option for the exterior, and a leather-colored Glazed Caramel trim color for the cabin.
Additionally, the ever-popular LX Sport Package, available only on the 3-row model, has been updated for 2021. This visually striking package includes exterior add-ons such as body kits for the front and rear fascias, a sport grille, body-colored side mirrors with chrome accents, and forged 21-inch wheels.
Interior-wise, the Sport Package gives buyers the option to highlight the standard semi-aniline perforated leather with a black headliner and a choice between black and Cabernet trims, along with the aforementioned Glazed Caramel option.
Buyers who opt for one of the 500 vehicles in the limited edition LX Inspiration Series can choose between two paint colors: Black Onyx and White Pearl. Exclusive features include a black chrome grille, smoked headlights, and black 21-inch rims. The cabin receives a black headliner black semi-aniline leather trim with red highlights, and custom floor liners.
The Lexus Safety System+ is available across the range—a suite of driver assistance features that include blind spot monitor with rear cross-traffic alert, crawl control, intuitive parking assist, multi-terrain monitor, panoramic view monitor, turn assist, hill start assist, and multi-terrain monitor. The standard Lexus Premium Sound System can be upgraded to a 450-watt Mark Levinson surround sound system with 19 speakers.
The engine bay retains its 5.7-liter V8 producing 383hp and and 540Nm of torque. Shifting is handled by an 8-speed automatic that transmits power to all four wheels through a Torsen limited-slip differential.
The 2021 LX 570 arrives at US dealership in the second half of 2020. Pricing is yet to be disclosed.
Locally, the Lexus LX has a starting price of PHP8.72 million.
