The 2022 HR-V received four stars in the latest European New Car Assessment Program (NCAP). The latest results came days before the scheduled introduction of its all-new iteration in the Philippines.
To note, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) is scheduled to release the all-new HR-V tomorrow.
The tested unit — a right-hand-drive Honda HR-V 1.5 hybrid “Advance” — received 82 percent (31.3 points) on adult occupant protection, 75 percent (36.8 points) on child occupant protection, 72 percent (39.1 points) on vulnerable road user protection and 76.8 points (12.6 points) on safety assist.
As mentioned in an earlier article, the forthcoming Honda HR-V will be available in two engine options: a 1.5-liter double overhead cam (DOHC) i-VTEC for the base trim (S) and a 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo for the range-topping variant (V). Both engines are matched to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
The latest iteration of the five-door sport utility vehicle will have Honda Sensing features namely collision mitigation braking system, adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation system with lane departure warning, auto high-beam, and lead car departure notification system.
Further, HCPI said that the all-new Honda HR-V S CVT will be priced at P1.3 million while the Turbo V CVT, at P1.6 million.
