2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee to be revealed on Sept. 29

The highly anticipated 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee will make its debut on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, according to the Stellantis-owned 4x4 brand.

Jeep says that the big reveal will be streamed virtually, allowing fans all over the world to tune in via the American automotive marque. The event will be hosted by Jeep Brand Chief Executive Officer Christian Meunier, and VP for Jeep Brand North America Jim Morrison.

The fifth-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee is said to be the most technologically advanced, luxurious, and 4x4-capable Jeep Grand Cherokee yet. It builds upon the legacy of the brand’s most-awarded SUV and has shattered expectations.

Not only did Jeep release the nameplate’s first stretched, three-row model (earlier this year), but the Grand Cherokee will also see Jeep fulfill its promise of building an electrified future.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid model will be revealed alongside the upcoming two-row 2022 Grand Cherokee model.

"We’re expanding our portfolio into new segments, with the three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee L, while setting a strong foothold in the premium SUV market, with our all-new Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. Next in our exciting global product pipeline is the introduction of the all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee, which will be equipped, for the first time, with plug-in-hybrid 4xe technology. We are fully committed towards a vision of an electrified future,” said the Jeep CEO in a statement released by the automaker during its 80th anniversary.

The 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe plug-in hybrid model is centered on the company’s zero-emission campaign. The electrification of the Jeep lineup will allow customers to enjoy a vehicle that delivers a fun on-road experience while remaining off-road capable in nearly complete silence.
