In a recent press release, Lexus introduced the 2022 Lexus NX, and with it comes an extensive list of features that will help usher in the brand’s next chapter.
Outside, the all-new NX sports a refined spindle grille and a new block “LEXUS” badging at the rear. Its overall dimensions are also longer, wider, and taller which contributes to better passenger and cargo space.
Inside, one of the most notable updates includes the new Lexus Interface that features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Voice Assistant, cloud-navigation capable with Google Points of Interest (POI), over-the-air updates, and available Digital Key.
The 2022 Lexus NX will be made available in four new powertrain options: a 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and a 275-horsepower 2.4-liter turbo power plant, as well two hybrid-electric models.
Safety-wise, the 2022 NX will be equipped with risk avoidance emergency steer assist, left-turn oncoming vehicle detection/braking, right/left turn oncoming pedestrian detection/braking, and dynamic radar cruise control with curve speed management.
Other safety suites like the road sign assist, a pre-collision system, lane departure alert with steering assist, and intelligent high beam are also included.
A special F Sport package will also be made available for the 2022 Lexus NX. The upgrade adds a new grille with new front and rear bumpers, 20-inch gloss black aluminum wheels, color-key overfenders, black roof rails, and daylight opening window framing.
Inside, owners who purchased the F Sport package can expect dark graphite aluminum ornamentation, a unique meter, bolstered sport seats, a newly developed steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and scuff plates.
F Sport Handling also ups the driving dynamics of the 2022 NX through the active variable suspension (AVS), and front and rear performance dampers.
The all-new 2022 NX lineup is expected to arrive in US showrooms as early as December 2021 with production beginning at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada in early 2022.
Prices range from US$37,950 to US$55,560.
