Aside from the Mazda2 Hatchback, Mazda Philippines has also added the CX-3 to the newly revealed 2022 Premium Collection.
Mazda Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer Steven Tan expressed pride over the latest compact sport utility vehicle offering.
“The Mazda CX-3 is a fun and practical urban crossover for many of our discerning customers… Now, we have made it a more well-rounded offering with comfort, convenience, and safety features that enhance the total driving experience,” Tan said.
The local distributor for the Japanese automaker dropped the 1.6-liter engine for the 2022 Mazda CX-3, replacing it with a more powerful 2.0-liter powertrain. This will be seen in the Sport and Elegance variants that will be available in Mazda showrooms starting this December.
Both variants of the Mazda CX-3 are equipped with the Mazda Connect infotainment system with Wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity mated to a seven-speaker Bose sound system.
Aside from that, both variants have a smart keyless entry system, rear parking sensors as well as six airbags as standard safety and security features.
What distinguishes one from the other is aesthetics. The CX-3 Sport option still wears the gray-finished grille and body color mirror caps while the CX-3 Elegance option is fitted with a gloss black grille and black side mirror caps. These two variants sit on 16-inch wheels and have LED for its headlights and Daytime Running Lights.
Further, the 2022 Mazda CX-3 Sport has black leatherette-covered seats with fabric at the center while the Elegance trim has white leatherette seats with tan seating cushions. Touches of tan can also be found on the white door panels.
These two are packaged with the standard Five Years Free Service Plan with the prices starting at P1.49 million.
The available colors for the 2022 Mazda CX-3 are the Soul Red Crystal (additional P22,400), Machine Gray (additional P16,800), Snowflake White Pearl, Polymetal Gray, Deep Crystal Blue, and Platinum Quartz.
