2022 MIAS surpasses attendance target

The 2022 MIAS featured more than 200 cars and trucks, over two dozen motorcycles, and more than 100 exhibitors. The total covered area of the 2022 MIAS was about 20,000 square meters, with an additional 7,000 square meters of outdoor space for displays, test drives, and the stunt show.
In an earlier article, Alvin Uy, one of the event’s co-organizers, told Carmudi Philippines that they are targeting to have at least 100,000 guests for the much-awaited onsite event.
Vehicle launches marked the opening day of the 2022 MIAS.

Meanwhile, Changan showcased the new CS35 Plus; Chevrolet displayed its Tahoe 4x4 Z71, Trailblazer, Tracker, and Chevrolet Camaro RS; Morris Garages wowed the crowd with the HS SUV and upgraded MG 5 Core Plus; Peugeot showed its full lineup on its first major event under Astara; and Volvo boasted its 2022 Boost Hybrid Range.
Mutt Motorcycles made its public debut at the event.
Aftermarket brands and car-vendors highlighted by modified and custom-tuned vehicles were seen at the East Wing of the exhibit, while the outdoor area was utilized as the launch site for test drives and a platform for the Subaru-Russ Swift Stunt Show.
MIAS co-presenter BPI provided special deals on auto loans for interested buyers who have bought or reserved cars during the show. Petron highlighted its products and services at a specially-constructed “gas station” booth. The fuel company was also the presenter for the MIAS Custom and Classic Car Competition, which was joined by more than 40 entries.
Method Wheels showed off its specially-equipped vehicles at the MIAS lobby and North Wing. Porsche Design celebrated 50 years of the firm founded by Ferdinand Porsche’s grandson, Butzi Porsche.
Automobile Association Philippines supported the event with its virtual driving station, and held the latest Driver of the Year Awards.
Further, Lego displayed the 280-kilogram replica of the Ferrari 512M race car and several iconic vehicles.
