Formal launch on Jun. 20 at SM MOA
Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) shall reveal the latest version of the D-Max within the latter part of the month.
The Japanese vehicle manufacturer’s arm in the country announced in a statement that nameplate’s newest iteration will have its local unveiling on June 20 at the SM Mall of Asia (MOA). It will also have a display and test drive activity at Block of the SM MOA Complex on the same day.
Without giving out any specifics about the vehicle, the company said that the new Isuzu D-Max will be the “most advanced model yet” as it features cutting-edge off-road capabilities, enhanced safety features, and state-of-the-art technology that meet the current demands of the pick-up market.
IPC is confident with the D-Max’s latest version, saying that it is ready to invigorate the market. To note, the Philippines will be the third ASEAN country to bring in the aforementioned version.
“This new Isuzu D-Max will be loaded with features that the market will truly enjoy. It comes from the process of listening to our clients and assessing their needs so that ultimately, we can provide to them a pick-up that is capable of bringing them ‘Into New Heights’,” IPC Assistant Sales Division Head Robert Carlos said.
While waiting for the official details to be shared, here are the possible specifications of the new Isuzu D-Max as seen in overseas markets.
Design wise, the pick-up truck will likely have the aesthetics that its Malaysian-spec counterpart has. Such would mean that the arriving iteration could be wearing a honeycomb-like design in the grille’s lower portion — giving it a sportier look.
In terms of technology, the Philippine-bound new Isuzu D-Max might be fitted with a slew of features such as forward collision warning and autonomous emergency braking, turn assist, pedal misapplication mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, as well as rear cross traffic alert and braking.
Since it would only be a mid-cycle refresh version, the 2024 Isuzu D-Max will probably be offered in the same powertrain options namely the 3.0-liter 4JJ3-TCX Blue Power Diesel Engine (which can give out as much as 187 horsepower [hp> and as much as 450 Newton-meters [Nm>) and the 1.9-liter RZ4E-TC Blue Power Diesel Engine (which offers a maximum output of 148 hp and 350 Nm).
Given the updates, the new Isuzu D-Max might have a bump on its pricing, which currently ranges from P917,000-P1.905 million.
