Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) proudly announced that the fuel efficiency rating of the soon-to-be revealed all-new BR-V has gone as high as 24.7 kilometers per liter (kpl).
Sharing the result of the latest fuel economy run with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), the Japanese marque’s automotive arm in the country said that the nameplate’s 1.5 V CVT variant had the highest score, followed by the top-of-the-line offering 1.5 VX CVT’s 23.48 kpl consumption. The seven-seater’s 1.5 S CVT option had 22.61 kilometers per liter.
According to HCPI, the vehicles were driven with an average speed of 70-80 kilometers per hour (kph), covering a distance of 128 kilometers without the use of cruise control and the air-conditioning system is at low cool in the thermostat setting with the blower at the lowest setting.
“The second-generation BR-V aims to strengthen Honda’s model lineup to the next level. This All-New 7-seater ticks the right boxes in a family vehicle, it’s got the tough character of an SUV, advanced technology and safety features, power, and efficiency to deliver great satisfaction for both the driver and its passengers,” HCPI President Masahiko Nakamura was quoted as saying.
The upcoming all-new Honda BR-V is powered by a 1.5-liter double overhead cam i-VTEC engine mated to a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) which, HCPI said, has been improved to deliver better power delivery and improved fuel efficiency.
To be officially unveiled on November 21, the soon-to-be available second-generation BR-V will come in four trims at the following prices:
