Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade issued Department Order 2021-006 in February last year.During a virtual roundtable, Toll Regulatory Board Executive Director Atty. Alvin Carullo shared that the Department of Transportation (DOTr) has issued Department Order (DO) 2021-006 in February 2021.
The order, issued by Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, was made as supplemental rules to the DO 2007-38 (which is commonly known as “Rules and Regulations Governing the Use of Limited Access Facilities”).
Based on the order, the three-wheeled motorcycles that have 600cc engines are allowed to use the expressways “subject to terms and conditions as provided for under DO 2007-38.”
However, not all three-wheeled motorcycles are allowed to ply the country’s toll roads as those only without side cars are permitted to drive there.
