LTO's Driver's License, Vehicle Registration Renewal Goes Online
The process to renewing one's driver's license or vehicle registration papers is now online after the Land Transportation Office (LTO) recently launched its Online Personal Appointment and Scheduling System (PASS).
With the PASS, which can be found on the LTO's website at www.LTO.gov.ph or at www.lto.net.ph, the agency expects the queues to be reduced at its regional and satellite offices.
For now, the pilot sites where people can process the online scheduling of their driver's license or vehicle registration papers is limited to the LTO's district extension offices in Marikina, Pasig, Novaliches, and Muntinlupa.
"With the LTO Online PASS, LTO clients can select their preferred LTO site, date and time slot for Driver's License or Motor Vehicle renewal. The LTO has assigned dedicated lanes that will process appointments and evaluate applications, allowing for more efficient handling of transactions in their offices," the agency said in a statement.
Walk-in applicants will still undergo regular processing of their applications by the LTO.
"This is a big step towards enhancing our services by utilizing this online platform to bring more convenience to the public in line with President Duterte’s directive to bring more convenience to the public," added LTO chief Assistant Secretary Edgar Galvante.
