The 39th staging of the
Bangkok International Motor Show (BIMS), "the only motor show of Thailand that (is) listed on the global Motor Show calendar certified by OICA" will once again be staged at the
600,000-square meter Challenger Halls of the Impact Muang Thong Thani complex in Bangkok. OICA is abbreviation of the
Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles, an international trade association whose members are 39 national automotive industry trade associations.
For 2018, the show's theme is
"Revolution in Motion" which, according to BIMS Chairman
Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow, reflects "the importance of continuous development of automotive technology and innovation, which play a vital role in fulfilling the needs in our everyday life."
Over 40 vehicle brands will be on the show floor, with the products ranging from production cars and motorcycles to concept vehicles and aftermarket parts and accessories. Visitors will experience numerous innovative automobiles such as plug-in vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and electric vehicles, some of which will be available for sales at the show too.
One particular vehicle model that we know will be at the show is the
Toyota C-HR subcompact crossover, which went on sale recently in Thailand with the prices ranging from
THB 979,000 (PHP 1.630 million) for the entry-level 1.5-liter model to the range-topping HV hybrid variant at
THB 1.159 million (PHP 1.929 million).
As it so happens, CARMUDI MAGAZINE PHILIPPINES and
Carmudi.com.ph will be attending the show so stay tuned for our stories from the show floor.
