A Closer Look at the 2020 Infiniti QX80

Revamped for the 2020 model year, the Infiniti QX80 approaches the new year with a bang. With a facelifted exterior and a new stylish interior, the 2020 QX80 is something to look out for. This full size SUV rivals the likes of the Lexus LX, the Lincoln Navigator, and the Mercedes Benz GL Class.

The Infiniti QX80 is available in two variants, a base QX80 LUXE, and the top of the line QX80 LIMITED. The QX80 starts at $66,750 (Php 3.34 million) for the base LUXE model, and can go up to $91,450 (Php 4.67 million) for the QX80 LIMITED.

Exterior

The exterior of the QX80 has been restyled to look more modern and sleek. The front fascia is fitted with Infiniti’s signature eye inspired LED headlights, LED fog lights, and an eye catching double arch chrome grille that features a 3D wave pattern. The QX80’s rear has also been redesigned, now sporting newly redesigned taillights, chrome bar, and rear bumper. There are also 22-inch wheels that can be cast with dark silver paint or forged with premium liquid metal paint.

Interior

The interior of the Infiniti QX80 is chock full of premium features. The seats are upholstered in high quality leather, complete with diamond stitching. The same pattern is seen on the door frames. The four-spoke steering wheel is fitted with audio controls that is connected to the 8 inch infotainment system. The second row seats can be ordered as premium captain’s chairs, giving the passengers extra comfort.

For the rear passengers, the QX80 also comes standard with dual 8 inch rear entertainment screens, a power sliding moonroof, a Bose ® Premium Sound System connected to 13 speakers throughout the cabin, and tri zone adaptive climate controls with auto recirculation. If you opt for the top of the line LIMITED variant, you will get extra features such as “LIMTED” badging on the seats, an exclusive two tone semi-aniline leather/Alcantara® seats, and a black Ultrasuede® headliner.

Safety features

Competing as a full size SUV in the luxury segment, Infiniti made sure that the QX80 comes well equipped with safety features to ensure the security of their passengers. As such, the QX80 comes standard with speed sensitive power steering, hill start assist, hydraulic body motion control with rear auto leveling suspension, cruise control, 4 wheel anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution, traction control system, vehicle dynamic control, six airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system.

Powertrain

The Infiniti QX80 is fitted with a 5.6 liter V8 engine that makes 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque for the LUXE variant. The QX80 LIMITED uses the same engine, but is tuned to give you a little more boost at about 428 hp. This is mated with an electronically controlled 7 speed automatic transmission with Adaptive Shift Control.

Available colors

The Infiniti QX80 is offered in nine stunning color options: (1) Champagne Quartz, (2) Hermose Blue, (3) Moonstone White, (4) Mineral Black, (5) Mocha Almond, (6) Graphite Shadow, (7) Liquid Platinum, (8) Smoky Quartz, and (9) Black Obsidian.
