Retro style motorcyles seem to be making a comeback these days. The undeniable charm of the exposed gears of the bike matched with its rugged, vintage appearance makes you feel like 1940s Steve Rogers riding his bike into battle.
The newly-released Yamaha XSR-155 naked retro is a bike with those characteristics.
After initially being released in Thailand this August, the XSR-155 has just been introduced to the Indonesian market.
A modern take on the sport naked body type, the XSR-155 is small and lithe and ready to take on any road you present it with.
The neo retro XSR-155 is equipped with a single cylinder, liquid cooled, 155 cc. engine mated with a six speed gearbox with a slipper clutch that puts out 19hp and 15 Nm of torque.
After being released in Thailand (and recently in Indonesia), pricing seems to start at about 91,500 Thai Baht (around Php 155,000).
Despite the retro styling, the XSR-155 is equipped with modern touches such as a big LED front headlight and LED rear light, and a fully digital gauge display.
The bike is also fitted with 17-inch wheels, with 110/70 front tire and 140/70 rear tire, with telescopic forks in front and a monoshock at the back. Both wheels are fitted with a disc brake assembly for a better braking performance. The 155cc engine of the XSR-155 is shared with other Yamaha bikes, the MT-15 and the YZF-R15.
The XSR-155 is perfect for riders with average height. With a seat height of 810 mm, you should be able to straddle the bike with ease, as it only weighs just 134 kg.
The XSR-155 has a 10 liter tank and is said to have an average city mileage of 48.58 km per liter, and an average highway mileage of 52.02 km per liter.
The XSR-155 is offered in two color options, Matte Silver Premium and Matte Black Elegance. Is this neo retro sport bike coming to the Philippines soon? We donât know yet, but weâre definitely excited to welcome this sporty two wheeled head turner.
