The Swift is a subcompact hatchback sold by Japanese carmaker Suzuki. It has been one of the automotive brand’s most notable nameplates since its initial launch because of its Euro-inspired exterior.
On that note, it has won the hearts of many Filipino car buyers who are in the market for a hot subcompact hatch.
However, the Suzuki Swift proved that it had a lot more to offer than a Mini-inspired appearance. It had a modern-looking interior with relatively modern amenities emphasized by its “driver first” design.
Care to see how good this hatch’s interior is? Find out as we take a sneak peek inside the Suzuki Swift.
The Suzuki Swift has gone through several iterations and the latest generation has had its overall height lowered. Nevertheless, the redesigned interior features the same head clearance as its predecessor.
Moreover, the overall vertical space and lateral space for the rear seats have been increased by 23mm. According to Suzuki, the front seats have been shifted 10mm to the outside, creating more space between front-seat occupants.
With an affordable price tag, it’s not surprising to find plenty of fabric inside the Suzuki Swift. You’ll find fabric trims on the door trims and on the seats. The fabric sports a black hue though which works well with the pitch-black aesthetics of the car’s interior.
Despite its small size, the Suzuki Swift offers plenty of room for your daily cargo. At the front is a glove box, a console box tray, front door pockets, and two front cup holders. At the rear is a cup holder, a rear door bottle holder, and passenger-seat back pockets.
You’ll be surprised that the Suzuki Swift can carry as much as 556 liters of payload, when the rear seats are folded, that is. That said, this subcompact hatch can help you carry your daily cargo around town like laundry and groceries.
With the rear seats raised, the Suzuki Swift can carry 242 liters of load.
