The Navara has held the fort for Nissan Philippines in the country’s competitive pickup truck segment. Despite the tough competition against the likes of the Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi Strada, the Nissan Navara has maintained a good share of the local pickup truck market and has always been one of the top choices for those looking for a reliable ride.
It has been praised not only for its adventure-oriented exterior but also for its surprisingly comfortable interior. That said, let’s look at one will find inside the Nissan Navara.
The Nissan Navara has impressively comfortable seats, thanks to the brand’s Zero Gravity technology. According to Nissan, it was developed using an ergonomic system to analyze, measure, and verify fatigue reduction and comfort, leading to the NASA-measured “neutral posture.”
Across the board, the Nissan Navara gets Zero Gravity seats for both the driver and the front passenger. In lower variants, the driver’s seat is equipped with a six-way manual-adjust feature while the higher grades treat the driver to an eight-way power-adjust system. The front passenger gets four-way manual-adjust Zero Gravity seats on all Nissan Navara grades.
Depending on the model, the Zero Gravity seats can be finished in either fabric or leather.
And while we are on the topic of leather trims, the range-topping variant of the Nissan Navara gets leather seats with model-specific stitching. Likewise, the door trims, the center console armrest, and the steering wheel of the top-of-the-line variant also come wrapped in leather.
The material used on these surfaces not only gives the interior of the Nissan Navara an elegant appeal but also adds another layer of comfort for its occupants. The leather steering wheel, for example, is soft and grippy; the door trims and the armrest are surprisingly supple.
In the Philippines, Nissan has earned a reputation for having good air conditioning (AC) system. The Nissan Navara lives up to this distinction and offers occupants either a dial-type manual AC or a dual-zone automatic A/C — depending on the variant. To add, all variations have rear air conditioning vents.
The Nissan Navara offers decent onboard car tech which includes its seven-inch instrument panel and eight-inch infotainment system. The former feeds the driver relevant driving data while the latter keeps the passengers engaged during both short and long drives.
Unfortunately, the Nissan Navara does not come with an 11-inch flip-down monitor like the Terra. Nevertheless, the screens fitted on the pickup truck suffice the needs of its target market.
The Nissan Navara also comes with plenty of pockets for owners to store their everyday carry (EDC) items. Featured is a high-capacity glove compartment, a roomy center console, and a dedicated storage compartment under the climate control.
Furthermore, the second-row seats have compartments underneath to keep things from prying eyes.
The Nissan Navara comes in eight options and is priced from P1.041 million up to P1.796 million.
