ADVISORY: MMDA lifts number coding for Aug. 21
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will suspend the unified vehicular volume reduction program (UVVRP) — more commonly known as number coding scheme — on Monday (August 21) in line with the country's commemoration of Ninoy Aquino Day.

Relatedly, agency also announced that the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will conduct asphalt overlay activities (night-time works only) starting 11 p.m. tonight until 5 a.m. of August 21 on the following roads:
- C-5 Road Southbound after C-5 and Ayala Heights Intersection
- C-5 Road Southbound after Magsaysay Avenue near U-turn slot
- C-5 Road Southbound after Magsaysay Avenue
With that, motorists are advised to take alternate routes to avoid any possible inconvenience.
