AFTERMARKET: Toyota Soups Up 2020 Supra with TRD Accessories
With the 2020 Toyota Supra scheduled to arrive in July, anticipation for the car has reached fever-pitch, and Toyota is making sure gaping jaws completely hit the floor when they showcased the performance car equipped with TRD accessories last week on Facebook.
The TRD team in Japan surrounded the upcoming car in beefy carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) body kit, making the coupe look even sportier and more menacing. The wheels have been given an update as well.
The upgraded exterior pieces include a three-piece front splitter (to boost the car's downforce while reducing lift), side sills, door trim panel, rear diffuser, and an extended trunk lip spoiler.

The front splitter lowers the car by 0.55 inches. The side sills feature shark fins front and back, which are said to enhance aerodynamics on that part of the car. Body kits have also been used to close off the side intakes, which TRD's engineer explains won't affect the car's performance, as the vents are only there for aftermarket additions that require more air cooling.
The black-painted, 20-spoke, 19-inch forged aluminum wheels are equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport tires which are nine inches wide at the front and 10 inches at the rear.
As for how much the TRD accessories add to the Toyota 2020 Supra's price tag, fans estimate it's over USD20,000 (over PHP1 million).
