The price of the all-electric Mini Countryman isAutohub Group of Companies — a distributor of Mini cars in the Philippines — brought the models and helped pave the brand’s electrification in the country. Both the electric versions of the Cooper and Countryman were presented to the public at an event in Makati.
Carmudi Philippines reported the possible specs of the two emissions-free vehicles in an earlier article. Close to our prediction, here are the full details of the two new models.
All-electric Mini Cooper
The Philippine-market all-electric Mini Cooper is equipped with a single electric motor installed at the front wheel axle. Connected to a single-speed automatic transmission, It generates some 212 horsepower (hp) with 330 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque.
Its electric powertrain can send the all-electric Mini Cooper from zero to 100 kilometers per hour (kph) in around 6.7 seconds.
A 54.2-kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery offers up to 402 kilometers (km) of range.
Notable features of the all-electric Mini Cooper include LED headlamps, a new triangular taillamp, and flush door handles.
It also comes with a circular 9.4-inch center display screen, a three-spoke steering wheel, and seating that can accommodate up to four occupants.
All-electric Mini Countryman
The all-electric Mini Countryman, on the other hand, is fitted with dual electric motors that sends power on all four wheels. Helping it deliver 308 hp with 494 Nm is an automatic single-speed transmission with two regeneration levels.
It can accelerate from zero to 100 kph in 5.6 seconds with a top speed of 180 kph.
Meanwhile, a 66.5 kWh battery allows up to 433 km of range.
Outside, the all-electric Mini Countryman gets LED lighting, robust wheel arches, and roof rails. It also gets a 9.4-inch infotainment screen, which has been a staple of the brand, a panoramic sunroof, and a three-spoke steering wheel.
