After the all-new D-Max was introduced to the country in first quarter this year, many have started anticipating the coming of its SUV brethren mu-X’s newest iteration.
Since news on the first batch of deliveries to its Sta. Rosa facility are now making rounds in social media, we snooped for more details about the soon-to-be introduced offering.
While Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) Sales Division head Joseph Bautista said that the Philippine-spec version of the mu-X is still under development stages as of March 2021, we have been informed that the highly-awaited model will be launched late third quarter this year.
Based on the information shared to Carmudi Philippines, the mu-X will be launched “sometime between August to September.” “What’s sure is that it will not reach October,” the informant added.
Prior to the upcoming local introduction, the all-new mu-X was already introduced in Thailand November last year.
The vehicle, which would be coming from our neighboring country, is expected to enjoy similar upgrades found on the all-new Isuzu D-Max. Customers can safely assume that the improvements to be fitted on the mu-X a new exterior body design, the front grille layout, cabin features and the Advance Driver Assist System (ADAS) technology.
We hope that the local variety will get to wear the same interiors as the Thai-version, which is equipped with saddle brown leather seats, ambient lights and a refreshed dashboard design for its interiors.
This forthcoming will likely adopt both the 3.0 liter 4JJ-TCX (3.0liter Ddi Blue Power) and the 1.9 RZ4E-TC (1.9 Blue Power Gen 2) engine to power the Philippines-spec mu-X.
Moreover, we surely wish that the Isuzu mu-X will carry the six shades seen in Thailand namely: Marrakech Sugar, White Dolomite Pearl, Red Atna, Black Bavarian Mica, Iceberg Money and Bohemian Silver Metallic.
