Motor Image Pilipinas, Inc. (MIPI), has finally introduced the latest version of the Subaru Outback to the local market — the sixth-generation of the award-winning crossover.
The nameplate, which was originally meant to be one of the four models launched back in the first half the year, had its last update back in 2018, when it had Eyesight technology fitted. Now, the all-new Subaru Outback is set to be the wearing the brand’s most sophisticated driver assist safety system to date.
Powered by a 2.5-liter direct injection boxer engine, the all-new Subaru Outback powertrain can dish out 185hp and 245Nm that helps the vehicle run from standstill to 100km/h in 9.6 seconds.
Tan Chong International Ltd. Deputy Chairman and Managing Director Glenn Tan claimed that the all-new Subaru Outback is a feature-packed, value-for-money offering.
“This car is really about giving you a refined, premium driving experience in a feature-packed model at an unbeatable price for you to go create your best memories with your loved ones. Fans of the Outback will know that it is reliable and always there for you, taking you on your best journeys, time after time,” Tan said.
“It has the latest best-in-class safety features and spaciousness usually found in luxury European brands. It will keep you and your loved ones safe and comfortable. It is stable, versatile, and practical, with a touch of luxury. It is a well-equipped high-end car, without the high-end price tag,” he added.
The latest vehicle launch also serves as the debut of the latest version of the Subaru EyeSight technology. The 4.0 iteration of the Subaru EyeSight now has improved stereo cameras and wider angle of coverage, helping the driver to better detect obstacles and help prevent potential collisions.
The EyeSight 4.0 Driver Assist Technology now has the following features:

The all-new Subaru Outback is s longer by 50mm and wider by 35mm compared to its predecessor with a 213mm ground clearance. The model also has bumper guards, heavy-duty crossbar roof rails, and robust body cladding to match its overall look.
For the first time, a Subaru model's seats are now clad with Nappa leather, giving the all-new Subaru Outback a more premium trim.
Moreover, the crossover’s interior is highlighted by the 11.6-inch infotainment system. This tablet-style LCD screen is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Paired to it are the 11-piece 576-watt Harman/Kardon premium audio system speakers, subwoofer, and eight-channel amplifier.
The Outback is offered in seven colors: Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Crystal Black Silica, Brilliant Bronze Metallic, Crimson Red Pearl, Dark Blue Pearl, and Storm Grey Metallic. Offered in a sole 2.5i-T EyeSight variant, the Outback is priced at P2.38 million.
