After having its last refresh in 2019, Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) said that the Avanza nameplate will have its full update next month.
Judging by the teaser photo provided by TMP, the forthcoming Avanza will look like the one currently available in Indonesia (below).
According to the country's leading automotive distributor, the official unveiling of the compact multi-purpose vehicle will be streamed on TMP’s official social media channels on March 7.
However, the company said that all of Toyota’s dealerships will begin accepting inquiries and reservations as early as March 1.
"Our mobility requirements are rapidly evolving, especially after the disruptions caused by the pandemic, but one thing remains constant — Filipinos will always need a reliable car that can offer ample, comfortable space for the family, including extended family members," TMP First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations Sherwin Chualim said.
"This has always been the strength of the Avanza, but for this 2022 release, expect even more value-for-money features on top of its striking style upgrades inside and out," he added.
The company is expanding its commercial vehicle (CV) offerings as it sees the strong potential — especially the versatile carriers for family use — given the rising local demand.
The incoming version of the all-new Toyota Avanza follows the launch of all-new Raize that is also designed under a new global architecture platform.
TMP has yet to announce the full specifications and features of the all-new Avanza, although it shared that the model will come in four grades and five hues, with a starting price of P813,000.
