The Aprilia RS 457 has officially been launched in the Philippines.
Propelling the middleweight sport bike is a 457 cubic centimeter engine with two parallel forward-facing cylinders (four valves per cylinder), liquid-cooling, and ride-by-wire technologies.
It is paired with a six-speed multi-plate wet clutch with a slipper system to make some 47.6 horsepower and 43.5 Newton-meters of torque.
The body is slapped with sharp and aggressive-looking appointments like front double fairings and a two-in-one exhaust pipe. It also comes in three distinct liveries, namely Prismatic Dark, Opalescent White, and Racing Stripes.
At its core is a lightweight dual-beam aluminum frame, supported by a 41-millimeter (mm) upside-down fork with adjustable preload and 120 mm of travel as well as a rear monoshock — also with adjustable preload — with 130 mm of wheel travel.
It gets a pair of 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, which houses a 320 mm floating disc brake with a ByBre (short for By Brembo) four-piston radial caliper at the front and a 220 mm disc brake with a ByBre single-piston caliper at the back.
Notably, the Aprilia RS 457 gets an LED headlight assembly, a dual-channel anti-lock brake system with anti-rollover, and traction control.
Also noteworthy are its three ride modes, metal-braided brake hoses, a five-inch thin-film transistor instrument panel, and backlit handlebar controls.
The Aprilia RS 457 has a sticker price that ranges from P348,000-P358,000.
