Ashwani Gupta leaves Nissan
Ashwani Gupta, who is currently Nissan’s representative executive officer and chief operating officer (COO), has elected to leave the company.

Gupta became the company COO in December 2019.In a statement, the Japanese automotive manufacturer said that Gupta will retire from the board of directors at the end of the annual general meeting of shareholders on June 27.

As Nissan’s COO since December 2019, Gupta has been instrumental in the development and execution of the Nissan NEXT transformation plan that aims to establish the foundation of the brand’s business towards growth.
Before taking the COO post, Gupta held key leadership positions within the company and was a driving force in various Alliance projects over several years resulting in many achievements.
Nissan is set to reveal its new executive line-up on the same date that Gupta will retire in the Board of Directors.
