Astara PH gets industry expert anew to fortify roster

Astara Philippines now comes with a deep pool of veterans in the automotive industry as Arlan Reyes has joined the company.

Reyes has joined the Astara Philippines executive lineup to head Peugeot and Jiangling Motors Corporation (JMC) distributorships in the country.

In a statement, the company said that the industry expert who joined the team will be responsible for the Chinese automaker’s direction — the newest addition to Astara Philippines’ growing portfolio — for the local market, as well as manage all programs for the French Lion marque.

Astara Philippines Managing Director Raoul Picello expressed firm belief that bringing Reyes in the company would help further the brands’ presence.

“His rich experience and proven track record in the motoring industry make him the ideal leader for JMC and Peugeot under Astara Philippines. We look forward to achieving new milestone together and further solidifying our position as a key player in the automotive sector,” Picello was quoted as saying.

The firm also noted shared that Reyes’ appointment underscores its determination to be the distributor of choice by prominent automotive brands — noting that it is “steadfast in its commitment to providing exceptional vehicles and services to the Filipino customer.”

"Our new executive leadership team is integral to our enduring strategy designed to strengthen our standing as a prominent player in the local automotive landscape. We've achieved remarkable success during our initial two years in the country, and our unwavering passion propels us toward even greater heights in 2023,” Picello elaborated.

Astara Philippines earlier appointed Franz Decloedt as Brand Head of GAC Motor Philippines while Fatima Naval-de Leon will serve as the Marketing Director for all the brands that the firm manages locally.
