Astara PH to release new GAC model soon

Fresh from the launch of the GS3 Emzoom, Astara Philippines is set to release a new offering in the country under GAC (Guangzhou Automobile Corporation).

Such speculation came after an invite was sent to Carmudi Philippines for an upcoming event set later within the month of August. 

Based on the invite, the upcoming vehicle will be revealed at the opening day of the GAC Motor Discovery Drive Fest on August 25-27.

“The event will also serve as the venue for the launch of GAC Motor’s latest vehicle on the first day of the festival, August 25,” the invitation noted.

According to GAC Motor Philippines, the three-day activation will be held at the Palm Drive Activity Area of Glorietta 2 in Makati City.

Currently, the local roster of the Chinese automotive marque is already made up of the GS3 Emzoom, GS4, GS8, GN6, Empow, and Emkoo.

Could the arriving model be the hybrid version of the GS3 Emzoom that GAC Motor Philippines Brand Head Redentor Cajayon shared in a chance interview during the launch of the GS3 Emzoom? It is a possibility. However, the executive said that they are targeting to bring in the model in the final quarter of the year.

For now, we will be relying on GAC Motor Philippines' promise that it will share more pertinent details about the upcoming vehicle soon.
