Astara PH starts selling all-new JAC JS6

JAC (Jianghuai Automobile Company Limited) Motors Philippines has officially started the retail operations for the all-new JS6 — months after being shown at this year’s Manila International Auto Show 2024.

Considered as JAC’s flagship utility vehicle (SUV) in the country, the newest product from the Astara Philippines-led automotive distributor is said to be one of its most advanced and innovative models that comes with a competitive pricing.

Per JAC Motors Philippines, the vehicle is 4,605 millimeters (mm) long; 1,890 mm wide; and 1,700 mm tall with a 2,720-mm wheelbase, 160-mm ground clearance, 20-degree approach angle and 19-degree departure angle.

Its distinct exterior features include high-mounted LED daytime running lights and quad-LED headlights help form the brand’s distinctive corporate face, as well as the upward-sloping beltline, full-length LED taillights, roof rack and 18-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the all-new JAC JS6 boasts leather upholstery, a pair of 12.3-inch displays (instrument cluster and the Apple Carplay-and-Android-Auto-ready touchscreen infotainment mated to an eight-speaker setup).

Powering the all-new JAC JS6 is a turbocharged 1.5-liter, direct-injection inline-four gasoline engine that can dish out 182 horses and 300 Newton-meters. The aforementioned mill is matched to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Its host of amenities include electronically-adjustable front seats, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, power-folding side mirrors, panoramic sunroof, electronic tailgate, wireless charging pad, dual-zone climate control, and 360-degree camera.

Moreover, the all-new JAC JS6 features six airbags, ISOFIX child-restraint anchors, electronic stability program and a myriad of driver assistive technologies like automatic emergency brake, lane departure warning, frontal collision warning, blind spot monitoring and intelligent remote light switch.

Available in Pearl White, Carmenere Red, Moonstone Blue, Stylish Black and Obsidian Grey hues, the all-new JAC JS6 is priced at P1.38 million.
