Following its announcement last month, Aston Martin Manila has officially brought the DBX707 to Philippine roads.
Aston Martin Manila said that the DBX707 is the most powerful ultrahigh-luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) in the country today.
“A testament to Aston Martin’s dedication to igniting the passion for the ultimate driving experience, the DBX707 is another masterpiece that marries technology with masterful craftsmanship. From its trademark luxurious fittings to the boosted turbo engine, The DBX707 takes our discerning clientele to the next level, and it is an honor for us to bring this to the Philippine market,” Aston Martin Manila Chairman and President Marc Louie Tagle said.
Providing the oomph to the vehicle is the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 mated to a nine-speed wet clutch automatic transmission that delivers as much as 697 horsepower and 900Nm of torque. It also allows the vehicle to go 62 miles per hour from standstill (around 100 kilometers per hour [kph>) in 3.3 seconds and reach a maximum of 310kph.
Guaranteeing the stopping power are the carbon ceramic brakes (CCB). Measuring 420 millimeters (mm) in the front and 390mm for the rear, the CCB discs are gripped by six-piston calipers and result in a 40.5kg reduction in unsprung weight.
The Aston Martin DBX707 wears aesthetics that are overtly sporting but still shows the brand’s rich heritage.
Fitted at the front fascia are the larger satin chrome grille with double vanes and six horizontal bars, an all-new daytime running light design, new air intakes and brake cooling ducts, as well as a new front splitter profile.
At the rear are the roof wing’s new lip spoiler, bigger twin rear diffuser, new large diameter quad exhaust system and the rear bumper’s integrated quarter panel vents. Further, the Aston Marton DBX707 sits on 22-inch wheels.
Inside, occupants can enjoy a rich mix of alcantara and leather and heated seats for the front and rear — with embroidered company logo on the headrests. The front seats are adjustable 16 ways with memory.
While the first local unit comes in an Apex Grey color with Phantom Grey Seats that come with an exclusive Electron Yellow from the Q Collection, Aston Martin Manila said that buyers of the DBX707 may customize their DBX707 to their liking via indent order.
Per Aston Martin Manila Marketing Head Fiel Tan, the base price for the model is at P33.5 million. “It is extremely competitive for its segment, packed with the performance features that come with it. Its size, coupled with 900Nm of torque is enough to make any car enthusiast’s heart race behind the wheel,” she said.
