Aston Martin is moving all of its new vehicle warranties scheduled to expire or have expired since March 14, 2020 to June 30 of this year.
The British luxury carmaker is also making a special exemption for those who weren’t able to bring their car in for their warranty-related preventive maintenance service during the said period.
Aston Martin owners whose cars require a vehicle service during the disruption caused by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) are being assured that their warranty cover will be unaffected, and all cars serviced within three months or 2,000 miles (3,218 kilometers) of the in-car service indicator will be protected in full by any applicable Aston Martin warranty.
As soon as restrictions change and Aston Martin dealers in their respective locations are able to resume operations, Aston Martin car owners with service work due are being asked to schedule their preventive maintenance service with their dealer. The cars will then have the scheduled service work completed by fully trained service technicians using genuine Aston Martin parts.
Broadly speaking, the period from March 14 to June 30 is the period of lockdown in most countries affected by the viral pandemic.
In China where the virus originated, Aston Martin is extending its warranty and maintenance considerations from January 1 to June 30.
“For all of us, the COVID-19 pandemic and associated lockdown has been, and will continue to be, a very trying time,” said Andy West, Director of Client Services at Aston Martin.
“While issues such as car maintenance and warranty cover are, quite rightly, not top of mind for many we want to let our customers know that in partnership with our global dealer network we are doing all we can to support them, and their sports cars, through this period and will be looking forward to helping them get back behind the wheel of their beloved Aston Martin sports cars when it is safe and appropriate to do so.”
In the Philippines, the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ)—our own version of a lockdown that began in March 14, 2020—has been extended twice already. Originally scheduled to end on April 13, the ECQ was moved to May 1, and now, to May 15.
