Aston Martin will begin the production of the DBS 770 Ultimate within the first quarter of 2023.Said to be the most powerful and fastest Aston Martin ever, the DBS 770 Ultimate was unveiled as the production of the nameplate’s current generation is nearing its end.
Per the Gaydon-headquartered marque, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate comes with extensive design and engineering enhancements to make sure that it will be “an unforgettable and highly collectible celebration of Aston Martin’s flagship Super GT.”
The latest offering — offered in Coupe and Volante options — were sold in a limited-run fashion, with the former having only 300 examples and the latter, 199. Per Aston Martin, all the units were sold ahead of release.
Powering the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate is the quad-cam 60-degree 5.2-liter V12 engine. The said mill has the capability to provide a maximum output of nearly 760 horsepower and 900 Nm of pulling power. It also can reach speeds of up to 330 kilometers per hour.
The aforementioned numbers are transferred to the wheels via the ZF eight-speed automatic transmission and mechanical limited-slip differential (LSD) mounted at the rear of the car. The carmaker said that the model features a distinct transmission calibration to enhance shift speeds and driver interaction. To add, the vehicle features a carbon ceramic braking (CCB) system that can be found on its front and rear discs.
Further, drivers can enjoy a more precise cornering and ride quality, thanks to its new solid mounted steering column and enhanced adaptive damping system.
On the outside, the Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate wears a “horseshoe” engine vent on its clamshell bonnet and new front splitter that integrates two new outboard vents.
Aston Martin gave the DBS 770 Ultimate a 2x2 twill carbon fiber cantrail, windscreen surround, mirror caps, and fender louver as standard. Apart from that, a new carbon fiber sill for its side profile and a unique rear diffuser were also fitted on the vehicle.
Moreover, the Aston DBS 770 Ultimate sits on 21-inch wheels (which can be had in full Satin Silver, full Satin Black, or optional Satin Black with Diamond Turned finish) that are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero high performance tires.
The Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate’s cabin is tailored with Sports Plus Seats trimmed in full semi-aniline leather and Alcantara, featuring a ‘fluted’ quilt and perforation pattern (or the discretionary performance seat).
The paddle shifters are made of carbon fiber and a laser etched logo of the DBS 770 Ultimate can be seen on the center armrest.
Finally, DBS 770 Ultimate is fitted with a unique set of sill plaques showcasing the Aston Martin Wings, DBS 770 Ultimate logo and limited-edition numbering that signifies the vehicle as one of the members of the special-edition fleet.
Additionally, a diverse range of Q by Aston Martin bespoke options are available on DBS 770 Ultimate, which include Q liveries with assorted graphics options, painted wheels to match body or graphics colors, tinted carbon fiber and woven leather seat inserts, trim inlays and a carbon fiber steering wheel.
“When an iconic model generation reaches the end of production it is important to mark the occasion with something special. In the case of the DBS 770 Ultimate, we have spared nothing in ensuring the final version of our current series production flagship is the best-ever in every respect. Not only is it the fastest and most powerful DBS in our history, thanks to a comprehensive suite of improvements to the transmission, steering, suspension, and underbody structure; it is also the best to drive,” Aston Martin Chief Technology Officer Roberto Fedeli said.
“DBS has always sat at the pinnacle of the Aston Martin production model line-up. And now we’re infusing DBS 770 Ultimate with even more… more power, more performance purity and all with more sophistication, more taste and in the most considered manner. Something so raw, and yet so beautiful it’s almost intimidating to look at. It's through this design approach that we came up with the shapes - starting with the amped-up front end – and from there everything else flows in design balance with the performance upgrades,” Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman noted.
Aston Martin is set to start its production of the DBS 770 Ultimate within the first quarter of the year, with first deliveries to begin during the third quarter of 2023.
