Aston Martin has launched a limited-edition, race car-inspired DBX707 to celebrate the success of its Formula 1 team.
Called the DBX707 AMR23 Edition, the exclusive version of the world’s most powerful ultra-luxury sport utility vehicle (SUV) shares the racing identity of the brand’s challenger in the competition as well as the racing series’ official medical car.
To note, the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team enjoyed a good start in the 2023 Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Formula One World Championship season, currently sitting in second place in the 2023 Constructor Standings. Fernando Alonso set the bar high at the opening round in Bahrain when he finished on the podium and Lance Stroll was only a few places behind him. Saudi Arabia followed and so did further podium finishes for Alonso, in Australia and last weekend, in Miami.
Set to raise the nameplate’s intensity and road presence further, the Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition sports a curation of unique color and trim features by the brand’s bespoke service, Q by Aston Martin. The combination, according to the Gaydon-headquartered premium marque, gives the DBX707 a highly dynamic and true racing look.
The Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition brings exclusive content to the exterior of the car, including bespoke Podium Green paint, a unique Q by Aston Martin fender badge and Aston Martin Racing Green brake calipers.
To underline its connection with Formula 1, the Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition comes with lime accents to the carbon body kit that is also seen on both the racecar unit and the competition’s official medic car.
Inside, the Aston Martin DBX707 AMR23 Edition is fitted with lime contrast stitching to the Inspire Sport Duotone Onyx Black/Eifel Green interior, carbon fiber veneers and dark satin with carbon fiber jewelry. More identifying marks are seen in the cabin as the AMR23 logo also present on the door sills.
Further, the company also boasted that the Aston Martin DBX707 is the “perfect combination of blistering performance, supreme dynamics, unmistakable style and absolute luxury.” “Created to provide its driver with impeccable control and precision, the vehicle features enhancements to its engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electronic systems and aerodynamics, heralding a new definition of performance and driving pleasure. The addition of the AMR23 Edition provides a true racing look underlining the DBX707’s driver-focused credentials,” Aston Martin said in a statement.
“The AMR23 Edition takes DBX707 to a new level of intensity, creating a stand-out ultra-luxury SUV with incredible road presence. It is a real pleasure to offer this special edition in celebration of the recent successes of our Formula 1 team. We are successfully competing at the pinnacle of world motorsport, and this represents a key pillar in our brand and product strategy for our road cars. We look forward to getting behind the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One Team once again, at the next round in Italy,” Aston Martin Head of Product and Market Strategy Alex Long was quoted as saying.
Per Aston Martin, customers may now order the DBX707 AMR23 Edition and the additional AMR23 highlights.
It can be recalled that the Aston Martin DBX707 made its debut in the Philippine market last February. Aston Martin Manila Marketing Head Fiel Tan said that the base price for the model is at P33.5 million.
Powering the vehicle is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 mill mated to a nine-speed wet clutch automatic transmission that can provide up to 697 horsepower and 900 Newton-meters of torque. It also allows the vehicle to go 62 miles per hour from standstill (around 100 kilometers per hour [kph>) in 3.3 seconds and reach a maximum of 310kph.
