The newest iteration of Audi A8 L is now being retailed in the Philippines.
In a statement, Audi Philippines said that the flagship sedan offering’s latest update is said to “exude more authority” in the luxury sedan category.
According to the Ingolstadt-headquartered marque’s local arm, the redesigned version of the Audi A8 L wears a sharper look with more innovative technologies.
Providing character for the new Audi A8 L’s front fascia is the wider and more angular Singleframe grille that features chrome elements. The aforementioned portion is bordered with restyled Digital Matrix LED headlights, as well as side air intakes that are more upright and whose lower edge has distinctive contours.
The premium sedan’s side profile is defined by a sleek roof dome, sweeping lines across the body that emphasize the vehicle’s length, concave contours at the bottom, and wide wheel arches. To note, the vehicle sits on 21-inch alloy wheels.
At the rear are wide chrome clasps, customizable tail light signature with digital organic light-emitting diodes (OLED), a light strip and a diffuser insert with horizontal bars in the bumper.
The cabin of the new Audi A8 L houses a 12.3-inch high-definition virtual cockpit display. Its multimedia interface navigation with touch response also allows the driver and passengers to control various infotainment and convenience features via touch screen displays, handwriting recognition, or natural voice commands.
Apart from that, the new Audi A8 L is fitted with a Rear Seat Entertainment system made up of two Audi tablets and a rear seat remote as well as a cool box to keep drinks chilled. Occupants can connect their mobile devices in the entertainment system via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.
Audi has ensured a bolder presence for its flagship sedan by sharpening the model’s design, particularly in the front and rear, as well as by updating it with innovative technologies. Now, this 2023 Audi A8 L is available in the Philippines.
Other premium features include the 360-degree 3D-view camera, panoramic sunroof, four-zone automatic climate control, an air quality package with ionizer and perfume, multifunction massage in all seats, and a Bang and Olufsen audio system.
Powering the new Audi A8 L is a 3.0-liter, turbocharged V6 gasoline engine that has the capability to provide a peak output of 335 horsepower and 500Nm of torque. The powertrain comes with a mild-hybrid system composed of a belt alternator starter and a lithium-ion battery. The engine is matched to the eight-stage tiptronic transmission. The Audi A8 L has the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system too.
Meanwhile, the new Audi A8 L utilizes the brand’s Space Frame (ASF) technology in which aluminum components make up 58 percent of the structure, allowing the vehicle to be 40-percent lighter compared to a model with steel construction.
“The layout of the new Audi A8 L’s ASF body is based on a frame comprised of sections and parts made from aluminum. Supplementing these are other aluminum panels, such as the roof and the body’s side. Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer and magnesium are also used to complement steel components. Combined, the ASF structure ensures exceptional rigidity that enhances handling while also significantly reducing vibration. It lessens weight as well, improving efficiency,” Audi Philippines explained.
