Audi Philippines is amplifying calls to those who want to see the RS3 Sedan, which spearheaded the arrival of the Audi Sport in the country, via their bespoke online experience.
Through Audi Live View, the local distributor for the European luxury marque offers to showcase the RS3 Sedan at the comforts on their own homes. Contrary to the usual virtual showrooms in the local market, Audi Live View gives clients a full and personalized product presentation from their specialists.
After their preferred date and time to view the RS 3, customers may request for a specific view—by simply requesting the expert to pan, tilt or shift focus through their smartphones in real time, without even stepping foot inside the Audi showroom itself.
Powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-five-cylinder engine, the new RS 3 Sedan is the spiritual successor to the “Ur-Quattro” race cars who bagged World Rally Championship crowns in 1982, 1983 and 1984, as well as to the legendary S1 that competed in Group B rally racing and which clinched the Pikes Peak title in 1987. The said engine is capable of dishing out 400 horsepower and 480 Nm of torque that can zoom 0-100 kilometers per hour in 4.1 seconds.
The oomph the powertrain provides is then transferred to all four wheels through the quattro system, which is now electronically-controlled with a hydraulically activated multi-plate clutch mounted at the rear axle.
The 2.5 TFSI engine alone is award-winning, taking the 2.0-liter to 2.5-liter category in the International Engine of the Year award for 10 consecutive years, from 2010 to 2019.
This performance-driven powertrain is paired to Audi Sport’s seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch transmission.
Once bought, the RS3 Sedan offers its cabin occupants superb comfort with the magnetic ride suspension technology. This structure continuously adapts the car’s shock absorbers—filled with electronically controlled magnetic particles—to road condition and driver’s preference.
As a model developed by Audi Sport, the new RS 3 Sedan flaunts a Singleframe grille marked by the quattro logo, a fixed rear spoiler lip, a distinctive diffuser insert with vertical struts, large oval tailpipes for the RS sport exhaust system, and flared wheel arches accommodating wide 19-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels. Visible behind the wheels are the RS sports brakes. The Black Optic package for the exterior further identifies the new RS Sedan as a high-performance car.
Aside from that, RS3 Sedan has fitted RS sport seats, RS multi-function three-spoke steering wheel with paddle shifters, leather-covered panels with red contrast stitching, Audi’s MMI infotainment system, a Bang & Olufsen audio setup, and the Audi virtual cockpit—a fully digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch TFT monitor that presents information in high-definition graphics. In the special RS screen mode, a rev counter dominates the display, which can show torque, power, tire pressure and G-force figures.
Earlier, Carmudi reported that Audi Philippines also has the Nurburgring lap record-holder RS Q8 SUV, and to follow, RS 6 Avant wagon and the Audi Sport-developed R8 supercar.
