Audi’s US expands EV roster with Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron

Audi announced that the electric vehicle (EV) models Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron are being sold in the United States (US). The two vehicles are the fourth and fifth models that joined the German automotive brand’s EV fleet in the US.

Because of this, the US arm of Audi currently has the largest offering of fully electric models than any automaker in the country.

The Audi Q4 e-tron is offered in two trims: the Q4 40 e-tron and the Q4 50 e-tron.

The former is equipped with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) drivetrain system and produces a maximum power output of 201 horsepower (hp) with a top speed of around 159 kilometers per hour (kph). Its 82 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery promises a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-estimated range of 426.47 kilometers (km).

Meanwhile, the Audi Q4 50 e-tron is fitted with the brand’s “quattro” all-wheel-drive drivetrain system and puts out a maximum power output of 295 horses with speed peaking at 180.24kph. It sports a similar 82kWh battery with an EPA-estimated range of approximately  379.80km.

The Audi Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron, on the other hand, shares the same power and speed figures as the Audi Q4 50 e-tron but has a better EPA-estimated range clocking in at 389.46km.

The Audi Q4 40 e-tron is priced at US$48,800 (P2.878 million) while the Audi Q4 50 e-tron has a sticker price of US$53,800 (P3.173 million). Finally, the Audi Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron is being offered for US$56,800 (P3.35 million).

Per the Ingolstadt-based car brand, the Audi Q4 e-tron model line was engineered with comfort, practicality, and cutting-edge technology at the forefront. These practical and advanced additions to Audi’s fleet of fully electric vehicles have now entered the American car market as the brand’s most attainable luxury EV yet.
