Audi’s Virtual Side Mirrors Provide a Glimpse of the Future
The automotive world is abuzz with the virtual side mirror system that Audi equipped into its latest electric SUV concept, the Audi E-Tron. Instead of traditional side mirrors, the battery-electric crossover comes fitted with seven-inch organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens mounted inside the doors right above the door handles. These screens are connected to the rearview cameras that replace the mirrors you usually see on cars. You can call it a 'mirrorless' side mirror if you want, and you won't be wrong.

The E-Tron was originally scheduled for launch during the Audi Summit in Brussels this August 30, but it has now been moved to a later date, and will be held in the US. The ultra hi-tech SUV goes on sale in Europe by the end of the year.
