Autohub Group formally unveils Zeekr

MANILA: Following the announcement last March, the Autohub Group of Companies has formally launched the Zeekr brand in the Philippine market.

 

Per the multi-brand firm, the grand launch “is the first of many markers of progress” with the electric vehicle manufacturer under the Geely Holding Group. It also boosts its commitment to providing and promoting sustainable mobility solutions locally.

The marque’s formal introduction in the country also served as the debut for the Zeekr 001 and Zeekr X nameplates.

“The Zeekr vehicles that we are launching today, which push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, represent the Autohub Group’s commitment to introducing future-forward and sustainable mobility solutions that are tailor-fit to the Philippine market,” Autohub Group President Willy Tee Ten said.

 “This grand launch marks only the beginning of an even stronger partnership with Zeekr to deliver the future of driving,” he added.

For his part, Zeekr Southeast Asia Head Alex Bao expressed firm belief that the unveiling of Zeekr models in the Philippines — which is a key market for the brand — will speed up the shift towards electric mobility locally.

“We are confident that the Autohub Group, with its proven track record and strong market presence, can help push the Philippines toward more sustainable solutions and deliver more innovative products to Filipino consumers,” he noted.

Both models offer fast charging times as they both have 22-kilowatt-hour AC charging capability options. In terms of range, the Zeekr X can cover up to 445 kilometers (km) while the 001, as much as 620 km.

Aside from that, the EV offerings are fitted with intelligent matrix LED projection headlights, equipped with adaptive high beam technology that dynamically adjust the high beam matrix to provide optimal illumination without blinding oncoming traffic.

For their cabin, the two Zeekr models boast luxury and comfort by combining the latest digital cockpit technology with premium materials and beautiful finishes. The said design, the automaker’s local arm noted, creates a relaxing space that makes every journey feel special.

The Zeekr 001 and X have achieved five-star ratings under European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP).
