Who are the companies behind the integrated electric vehicle charging and transport systems?
They are Global Electric Transport Philippines, TGOOD LINCHR, Integrated Micro-Electronics, Ayala Land and GREENSTRuM.Where are these facilities located?+
These can be found at Ayala Malls Circuit Makati and Ayala Malls 30th.This was the result of the collaboration between Global Electric Transport (GET Philippines, Inc.), TGOOD LINCHR, Integrated Micro-Electronics (IMI), Ayala Land Inc. and GREENSTRuM.
IMI—the sister company of AC Motors (the firm behind the local distributorship of Volkswagen, Kia and Maxus)—brought to the country TGOOD LINCHR, the world’s largest EV charging infrastructure provider.
“We are proud to be part of this ecosystem on a global basis moreso now that we are contributing locally. We are very happy to be involved with this major disruption happening in our country,” IMI Chief Executive Officer Arthur Tan was quoted as saying.
“We hope to be a catalyst for technology that drives carbon neutrality,” he added.
As IMI China assembles the power supply system of the chargers, GREENSTRuM oversees its local distribution, maintenance and aftersales support.
GET Philippines is a known electric mass mobility company that has been deploying electric shuttle buses called Community Optimized Managed Electric Transport (COMET). These electric shuttles are already operating in Davao and Manila.
“Our goal is to deliver an efficient, cost-effective, zero-emission transport solution and a better, healthier experience for passengers and pedestrians alike” GET Managing Director Anthony Dy noted.
Further, the company intends to deploy hundreds of EV chargers nationwide as they expand the COMET electric shuttle network.
“We expect greater demand for our COMET electric shuttles as more organizations try to achieve their sustainable goals. Having a world class electric shuttle is only as good as the fast-charging network that supports it. And for this we thank our partners IMI, GREENSTRuM and Ayala Malls.” Dy added.
Ayala Land, Inc. is a real estate firm subsidiary of Ayala Corporation.
Department of Energy director Patrick Aquino acknowledged the importance of private firms in pushing for carbon neutrality.
“The government cannot do it alone. We need private partnerships that employ commercially viable and efficient solutions that will address our country’s need to hasten our move towards carbon neutrality.”
