BAIC PH to unleash in B30e Dune on Sep. 19

BAIC (Beijing Automotive Group Company Limited) Philippines will launch the B30e Dune in the country within the month.

Based on the invitation sent to Carmudi Philippines, the said offering shall be formally launched locally on September 19.

More known in China as the BJ30, the electrified sport utility vehicle was launched globally at this year’s Beijing Auto Show.

Here are some of the vehicle’s probable specifications as seen abroad.

The BAIC B30e Dune is expected to be fitted with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with an electric motor, that will allow the vehicle to run 0-100 kilometers per hour in six seconds and reach a combined consumption of up to 15.5 kilometers per liter.

In addition, the electrified off-roader’s four-wheel drive system responds in less than a second that guarantees seamless transition from two- to four-wheel-drive modes.

Dubbed the “King of Value for Money in the Wild”, the BAIC B30e Dune features a bold fascia, short overhangs, and a tall ground clearance — and is priced below P1 million in its home country.
