Bentley Manila is welcoming customers to reserve the new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible that will be put on display starting next week.
PGA Cars, the local importer of Bentley models in the country, announced that the new Continental GT Mulliner — to be showcased at the Bonifacio Global City showroom — will be presented alongside the Mulsanne WO Edition by Mulliner.
The new Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible is equipped with a new-generation 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 engine—allowing it to reach zero to 100kph in four seconds and has a maximum speed of 318kph.
The muscular profile of the Bentley Continental GT Mulliner Convertible is complemented by 22-inch, 10-spoke painted and polished wheels fitted with floating, self-leveling badges.
While the new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible to be seen at the showroom is in Snow Quartz body color with a blue convertible top, PGA Cars shared that the “new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible can be commissioned to come in any bespoke shade as Bentley and Mulliner artisan paint specialists delight in obliging clients’ wishes.”
The new Continental GT Mulliner Convertible has cut-crystal-inspired headlamps, and a bold Double Diamond grille flanked by bespoke Mulliner side vents. The design was inspired by Bentley’s exclusive Diamond-in-Diamond interior quilting on the car’s seats, door panels, rear quarters and the tonneau cover.
To note, the quilting inside the cabin has almost 400,000 stitches, with each diamond containing exactly 712 individual stitches.
It also has mood lighting with seven different themes, illuminated Mulliner tread plates, and LED welcome lamps that project the Bentley wings onto the ground.
Aside from that, the Continental GT Mulliner Convertible is equipped with top-of-the-range Naim for Bentley audio system. This features 18 speakers and two active bass transducers driven by a 2,200-watt, 20-channel amplifier and eight DSP sound modes with active bass.
Meanwhile, the Mulsanne WO Edition by Mulliner, which is also available for reservation, pays homage to company founder, Walter Owen Bentley. According to Bentley Manila, each of the 100 limited-edition Mulsannes incorporates “a slice of the original crankshaft taken from WO Bentley’s personal 8 Liter car, the last model he designed for Bentley Motors in 1930.”
It continued, “One of the highlights of the car is found at the rear of the cabin, where exquisitely displayed beneath a piece of glass in the highly bespoke cocktail cabinet or bottle cooler is the sliver of the crankshaft taken from WO Bentley’s 8 Liter.”
