Bentley announced that it will be adding two new variants to the Bentayga Hybrid range — the S Hybrid and the Azure Hybrid.
The former will be powered by a 3.0-liter internal combustion engine (ICE) assisted by an electric motor generator. The powertrain setup, explained Bentley, gives the Bentayga S Hybrid a maximum power output of 455 horsepower (hp), a top speed of 254 kilometers per hour (kph), and zero to 100 kilometer (km) time of 5.3 seconds.
Like its V8-powered stablemate (the Bentley Bentayga S) the new Bentley Bentayga S Hybrid provides an even more engaging drive, featuring (while in Sport mode) sound enhancements in the engine bay complementing the sound of the V6 Turbo fuel stratified injection (TFSi) engine and adding to the more sporting character of the car for the driver.
Outside, the Bentley Bentayga S Hybrid boasts black accents on the headlamps, black side sills, black side mirrors, and a black radiator grille. It wears Speed-style front bumpers and Speed-style tailgate spoilers. The Bentayga S Hybrid rides on distinctive 22-inch wheels.
The latter, on the other hand, brings the brand’s “wellbeing behind the wheel” approach to the Bentayga Hybrid family.
Its quiet powertrain setup (the same as the Bentayga S Hybrid) is complemented by a host of features designed and engineered to make every journey refined and relaxing. Included are Comfort Specification front seats with 22-way adjustability and a heating and ventilation function to maintain the body’s optimum temperature for comfort and alertness.
Also featured is Bentley’s Touring Specification which includes driving nannies like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Traffic Assist, and Bentley Safeguard — Bentley’s suite of onboard radar and camera systems constantly monitor the surrounding traffic and roads.
The two new Bentayga Hybrid models, both of which are now available for order, represent the next step in Bentley’s Beyond100 strategy. By 2025, the full Bentley line-up will be offered with hybrid powertrains, coinciding with the launch of the first-ever Bentley Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV).
