Bentley adds two new models to the Flying Spur family which take the nameplate to new levels of luxury and sustainability. The Flying Spur Mulliner and Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition expand Bentley’s electrified offerings, adding to the extravagant Bentayga Hybrid and the original Flying Spur Hybrid.
The Flying Spur Mulliner will feature exclusive Mulliner 22-inch wheels with self-leveling wheel caps, a “Double Diamond” front grille and chrome lower grille matched with bespoke Mulliner wing vents and Satin Silver painted mirror caps, and Mulliner illuminated outer treadplates and deep-pile Mulliner mats.
Inside, owners will be welcomed by “Diamond-in-Diamond” quilted seats, the brushed-silver Mulliner clock, and doors with three-dimensional leather.
Taking inspiration from Bentley’s EXP 100 GT concept car and introducing new sustainable materials to the Bentley range is the Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition. It features panels of beautifully crafted tweed made from 100-percent British wool and open-pore Koa veneer fascias and waist rails that use 90 percent less lacquer than traditional high-gloss veneers.
At the center of the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition is a console that features a minimalist Piano Linen veneer. The designers gave the Odyssean Edition’s interior a dedicated three-color leather pattern to separate the Odyssean Edition from other models and to lend the whole interior a new depth.
Bentley offers various accents, including a warm hide called Autumn, which can be specified to use Beluga, Porpoise, Cricketball, Brunel, or Burnt Oak leather in tandem with light Linen hide.
Another model-specific feature is the Odyssean Edition treadplate which can be seen as owners enter or exit the grand tourer. A badge on the D-pillar matches the special treadplate.
Its exterior reflects the same level of opulence as what can be seen inside the cabin. Pale Brodgar can be found on the Bentley Flying Spur Hybrid Odyssean Edition’s 21-inch twin-spoke wheels and lower bright ware (front and rear bumpers, headlight and taillight surrounds, and lower bodyside chrome).
Powering the newest hybrid models is a 2.9-liter V6 gasoline engine with an advanced electric motor. The hybrid powertrain puts out a combined output of 543hp and 750Nm of torque. The estimated range is over 700 kilometers when fully fueled.
