KEY TAKEAWAYS
How many speakers are included in the Naim for Mulliner sound system?
The Naim for Mulliner sound system includes 20 speakers.Which French audio company did Bentley and Naim work with for the said sound system?
Bentley and Naim worked with Focal for the said special sound system.Dubbed Naim for Mulliner, the said in-car audio system was the “result of 10,000 hours of development work, exceptional new hardware, and a complete system recalibration.”
According to the British car brand, the Naim sound system in the Batur has each speaker positioned specifically for ideal integration to create an uncompromising musical experience.
Per the Crewe-headquartered marque, while the Bentley Batur was still in its developmental stage, the engineers working on the nameplate opted to give the car further strengthening and stiffening around the cabin.
The result — Bentley pointed out — was reduced distortion and improved isolation for the new “Naim for Mulliner” system.
“The 18 customers who have already reserved their Batur will enjoy an unrivaled co-creation experience with our Mulliner Design team in specifying their cars and choosing if they want to include the ultimate in-car audio system,” Bentley wrote in a press release.
Both British brands (Bentley and Naim) also partnered with Focal, a French audio company that specializes in designing and manufacturing home audio loudspeakers, car audio speaker drivers and amplifiers, monitoring loudspeakers for recording studios, and headphones.
Focal speakers were placed in Bentley “speaker baskets,” which were created with additive manufacturing to achieve better audio performance.
The Naim for Mulliner sound system is comprised of six tweeters, nine mid-range speakers, two woofers, two active bass transducers, and one sub-woofer.
All mid-range speakers and tweeters — Bentley noted — have new speaker drivers. The woofers, on the other hand, have been modified to improve linearity and dynamics.
“Excellence deserves nothing less than excellence. Naim engineers have designed and developed the best high-fidelity systems for Bentley's Mulliner vehicles — a division focused on personalization, exclusivity, and bespoke design. The prestigious Bentley Batur by Mulliner model (2023) embodies the passion that Naim and Bentley share for innovative engineering and design, and is part of the ever-constant quest for both British brands: to offer music-inspired emotion and unique driving sensations,” Naim wrote in a statement.
