Bentley Releases Centenary Limited Edition Watch
Bentley, in partnership with Breitling, recently announced the Premier B01 Bentley Centenary Limited Edition Watch. Released alongside the Bentley Continental Number 9, a limited-edition Bentley Continental GT, the limited-edition watch is meant to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of W.O. Bentley.
According to Watchtime.com, the special collector's timepiece is sold in either 18k rose gold or stainless steel case. Left Lane reported that the brown elm burl dial, which is from the actual wooden seats of the 1930 No. 9 Le Mans race car rebuilt for its 100th anniversary, matches the wooden trim of the car's cabin. It measures around 42-mm in diameter.
Only 200 pieces of the gold edition and 1,000 pieces of the steel edition will be sold in the market. Price of the stainless steel version will range from USD9,950 to USD10,500 depending on the strap and buckle, while the rose gold version will be priced at USD28,000.
Long-standing collaboration
Bentley and Breitling have the longest and most enduring collaboration between a watch brand and a luxury automaker.
According to Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors: "The highly successful and long-standing collaboration between Bentley and Breitling is an impressive example of how brands with shared values work together in an authentic way to enhance the performance of both."
Bentley, which was founded by W.O. Bentley, was created to "build a fast car, a good car, the best in its class." This vision remains even today, as Bentley continues to transform and revolutionize the face of motoring.
